Beauty Inspiration: RED Lips, Lined Eyes.
Red lipstick has never been easy to pull off...or so most of us would think. I say be inspired and go out in search of that perfect shade of red that compliments you. You may be pleasantly surprised at how a simple, bold red lip can be the only accessory you need (while keeping everything else simple, of course).

Red lips were spotted not only on the Fall 2012 runways but also back during the Spring-Summer shows. As most of us are still experiencing summer (except myself its summer all year as we don't have four seasons where I live), the Fall shows tell us what to expect of future trends so it makes sense to look back at Spring-Summer trends so we may work the Summer trends now. Still, red lips all the way:

I've never owned a real Red lipstick before but I think I'm ready to experiment with that colour because anyone call pull off a red so long as that red matches them. Don't get me wrong, there are far too many reds out there with different under tones and pigments so finding your HG red will take some effort if you're new to red lippies.
Moving on to liners...
There are many ways to achieve that perfectly lined eye. My personal favourite is to line my top lid with a dark kohl and finish with a thick wing on the outer corner. I usually use black eyeshadow as a base liner and then finish with a precise line and winged corner using a felt-tip liner.

Below: Liners in colours other than black would be an easy way to add vibrance to your look. But I prefer black- that's just me!

I do remember buying a Chanel eyeshadow called Tigerlily last year and that orange worked well in lining my lower lashes. Lighter colours are definitely easier to pull off if you're going for a dramatic liner on both the top lid and the bottom lash line.
What are your beauty inspirations from the Spring and Fall trends this year? :)

Bombs in the Tub
I was just randomly thinking of bathtubs...and bath bombs.
(Full ElleDecor.com post HERE)
Unlike showers, baths are slow, relaxing and can be transformed into a small "spa" treat should you choose to add any essential oils or bath salts to it. Or perhaps, bombs...
If I had a bath tub, I'd use a bath bomb daily just because it's so funny to look at. You drop it in your bath and let it fizz and roll around, releasing lovely aromas and colouring the water. It will keep rolling around until it is completely dissolved. Some bath bombs even have glitter and confetti (but you risk getting those stuck on you, ha ha).
I wish I had a bath tub and an arsenal of (bath) bombs.

Fall 2012 Nail Trends
Following beauty reports from designer Fall 2012 shows, this coming Fall sports a variety of different themes for nails. Get your polishes ready and manicure away, girls.
#1 Deep dark colours
#2 Pale, nude colours
#3 Metallics
#4 Updated French
I am most interested in sporting some metallic nails and trying a French with a nude/ light cream base and metallic or deep red tips.
My arsenal for this Fall's trend:
- Chanel Black Pearl (Metallic grey-blue-black)
- Chanel Peridot (Metallic gold-yellow-green)
- OPI You Don't Know Jacques (Taupe)
- OPI Bubble Bath (White-pink)
- OPI Kyoto Pearl (Shimmery White)
Might decide to add a deep red-maroon and a silver polish to my very tiny collection soon. :)

Planned outfit for Lookbook
I'm new to Lookbook.nu and have yet to post a look. With a little snooping around ZARA.com and other lookbookers' looks, I've put together a simple spring-summer ensemble consisting of the following items:
#1 ZARA TRF T-shirt in White
#3 ZARA Printed trousers
#4 ZARA TRF Cropped printed trousers
#5 ZARA TRF Cropped twill trousers in Mint
#6 ZARA Basic sandal in Black
#8 ZARA Printed trousers
All images courtesy of ZARA.com
So it's the white blazer and white shirt and I will have to choose one of the pants. I plan to keep the top white and very simple while all the busy prints or colours gather at the bottom. The only way to know what suits me best is to try them on. I am rather worried that some pants would be too long for me as I'm petite so we'll just have to see. Can't wait to drop by Zara later today.
This is a total change for me to incorporate light colours and whites in to my style. I usually dress in black or dark colours (especially on the top) and it has always been easy to pull off. We shall see if I can finally dress in white.
