Haul: Zara

I wandered into Zara yesterday and was happy to see they had the latest summer pieces in store. I was happy to find a white blazer and a very nice printed top.

The blazer had a distinct silhouette and a very nice patterned fabric. I had to choose between this patterned white blazer and a plain white one in jersey. I went with the patterned one because the jacquard pattern adds a nice touch to an otherwise plain, basic white jacket.

I also got this top from TRF, Zara's in-house line for younger women. I love the yellow and the mirrored effect on the prints. I think it's one of my more summery buys lately and I can't wait to plan a look around this piece.

ZARA and Top Shop Haul

This was my first time shopping for clothing based on a very specific list of items to get. I must say planning ahead saves you so much time and you will usually end up buying what you really need.

Planned outfit for Lookbook

I'm new to Lookbook.nu and have yet to post a look. With a little snooping around ZARA.com and other lookbookers' looks, I've put together a simple spring-summer ensemble consisting of the following items:

So it's the white blazer and white shirt and I will have to choose one of the pants. I plan to keep the top white and very simple while all the busy prints or colours gather at the bottom. The only way to know what suits me best is to try them on. I am rather worried that some pants would be too long for me as I'm petite so we'll just have to see. Can't wait to drop by Zara later today. 

This is a total change for me to incorporate light colours and whites in to my style. I usually dress in black or dark colours (especially on the top) and it has always been easy to pull off. We shall see if I can finally dress in white.

Ah, such bold, beautiful colours in the first and last pairs. Tempted to find myself a pair at the local ZARA...if they still have them in stock *fingers crossed*.
